I loved that show and can't seem to get any more reruns of it. His name on the show was Ricky Ricardo but in real life his name was Desi Arnez. They wanted Lucy to do the show but they didn't want Desi. This was on a talk show with Lucy. So she said if you don't want Desi then you don't want me and that is how they both got started--together.
My favorite is when Lucy catches her nose on fire in front of Bill Holden. She said that was NOT suppose to happen but when her nose did catch on fire, she just picked up the coffee cup and put the fire out. What an actress Lucy was. She pulled that off just like it was written in the script. I would have loved to have met her in real life.

i loved i love lucy. ricky (Desi Arnez) and lucy (Lucy Ball) were really married in real life as well as on the show.
