First, a sock cannot turn up missing. Either it "turns up" or it's "missing." Second, I think most socks are lost in the washer, probably underneath the agitator drum. The inside of a dryer has no hidden areas where a sock could be lost. It's a mystery, huh? Good luck. :)

Whenever it extracts, after the was cycle and after the rinse cycle. Sometimes when drying because of static electricity sock tend to cling to or work into the legs of other garments. If you lost it after it extracted you will soon find out as your washer will no longer pump the water out.

I have had this problem many times.

I was told that when the washer spins really hard sometimes small items can wash over the edge of the tub and down the drain.

It would depend on the type of washer.

It disappeared because I stole it out of your Laundry, masturbated in it, and threw it away.
