There is always error in everything....but very rare in this case.

One situation I know of, If you recently had a miscarriage or abortion, a test can show up positive when youre not pregnant.

Yes they are.I was having painful swelling in my legs.Went to doctor. He done a pregnancy blood test.Came back in the room and said Im pregnant.I was shocked and so was my husband. Both very happy.I said ok but that will not cause my legs to hurt and swell. He said come back in a week for testing.I started to bleed.Went to the ER.It was just my monthly.I was never pregnant.I will never test another blood test again.

Any test has a potential for error. The best way to know for sure is to have a retest by the same doctor or a different one to make absolute certain.

Not usually, but there is always the possibility of human error! Have another one done, if needed!

Rarely ever. You can always request a retest to make absolutely sure.
