I think it is time for our government to function for us, this means checks and balances. We need an Democratic House/Senate to make sure that the current administration doesn't tread on ALL of our rights and freedoms! Plus, it will also show Bush and co. that we don't want to set up perminant residence in Iraq, it is time to claim victory and start deploying our troops to fight the actual terrorists that attacked us!

Although it is statistically more likely than not that most people will use some current event to make a choice as important as voting, I believe it a major fault of education that people do this.

To make a choice that will impact the health and welfare of this nation for who knows how long based on some "current event" is silly beyond justification. We are in the midst of a war, and facing the prospect of two others breaking out at any time.

With a vote for the wrong person by enough people, all references to God in this nation could become illegal. President Bush could be indited for protecting this nation [this has been promised already]. All tax reductions could be withdrawn and this would mean a $2,000.00 tax increase for a vast number of the middle class. Two Socialist Supreme Court Judges [who would favor the elimination of our federal government and the institution of a Socialist or Communist form of government].

If the democrats gained control of the Senate, I do not believe they would ever be challenged again because judges would be put into place that would legislate from the bench to effect changes in basic government so that it might even become illegal to be a conservative. This is how the Liberal-Type Personality operates, and only the truly ignorant believes otherwise.

Peace... may be more limited than we could imagine.

I vote for the person not the party. All events at that time will be factored in. What is happening today will have nothing to do with who I vote for in 2 years.

Bush's little war, Bush's catering to the rich, Bush's ignoring the Katrina victims who need help, his ignoring the middle class, his insistence upon more standardized testing for school kids meaning they can pass a test but don't know crap, Bush's making this country the laughingstock of the world with his inane comments and phony religious fervor are all things which will insure my voting for every Democrat I can find to vote for.

None. I've already made my decisions based on what they have done over the last several years.
