At least there is something always happening in NASCAR. It may not be a challenge for the lead but there is a race going on somewhere. You can see the strategy of a guy planning his pass,it may take him a few laps to get it done or strategy on pit road . Soccer on the other hand is equal to Chinese water torture. Run, run, kick the ball then repeat. Now that's pretty exciting stuff!

i guess the best way to put it is,people dont like what they dont understand.soccer is not that popular of a sport here in the states,but it is getting more popular.i suspect once people learn more about soccer and the rules,stratagies,players,and positions,they will pay more attetion to it.
me personnaly,i have a 15 year old step son that has been playing soccer for about 6 years.my daughter that is 8 played one year.i have to go to games to root on the kids,but i still dont understand it.
i would rather watch a race,but i have to support the kids.i will tell u this i am starting to watch it more and more.

Seeing a guy foul up a wall at 200mph is so much more interesting to watch than to see guys running up and down kicking a ball. I'd rather watch an NFL game where I can see guys tackle each other than soccer.

The crashes in soccer aren't nearly as spectacular as NASCAR.

We are liking soccer more and more. Take this year's World Cup for example, almost the whole country was into it. Though we aren't that big on soccer, like Brazil or Argentina, we deffinitely have WAY more fans than in the past. Soccer is deffinitely growining on the U.S. (esecially me, soccer is my passion) =)

i don't hate soccer because its boring... i hate soccer b/c its a low scoring game that half the time ends in a tie. and the acting is pathetic.

Americans do like soccer when they are younger.
someone told me that soccer isn't big here because there isn't much room for advertising in soccer. we are all about advertising here.

Because the cars are going over 200 mph. If soccer players went they fast they'd probably like it too.
