I just was hired to as a Cashier in central checkout!!! I goto orientation on Thursday, are there any good tips I should know???

Pay attention to who's training you and be eager to give it a go to demonstrate that you have caught on to what they are telling you, also try to have some intelligent questions to ask.. When that person is done training you be aware that a supervisor will be asking how you got along, you want your trainer to tell them your a good worker, not a slacker. Your first impression on your trainer is important, so treat them with respect. Good luck to you!

Congrats! Smile, no matter how "ugly or rude" customers are and learn to count change in case your machine goes out. It's amazing how few cashiers can make change without use of the machine......LOL
