Having read all the evidence, I have come to the conclusion that a large number of sightings are related to electromagnetics. Is it possible that ghosts are actually some kind of (yet to be understood) audio and visual recordings that are repeatedly played back?

Interesting thought. How would you explain the descriptions of "ghosts" interacting with people? Or is that a category of sighting that you would discard?

It sounds like you have a point, I was at a medium show recently, and he was explaining the difference between spirits and ghosts, He said, spirits are beings that have passed on and come back to our plane, usually because they have an attachment, you can tell its a spirit, because it will most likely interact with you, and look at you straight on. A ghost on the other hand is not really there, it is an image (as it were) or replay of something that a person who has passed on has done, I can't remember if he said it was to do with emotions or anything like that, but its recorded in our atmosphere, and we (or sensitive people) are seeing it replayed, you would most likely know it is a ghost if it does not look directly at you, and you do not affect it.
Its an interesting subject!!!

Some Ghosts just have unfinished business and that explains why they come back
There have been sightings outside in graveyards it's all supernatural forces
There have been sightings of ghost in Bridgeport and new britain Connecticut in old theaters
eletromagnetcis explains the pressence of the ghost lurking around Yes they are audio & visual recordings that keep on playing back

Sure why not.
If you think about how the human body works, we are conductors of electricity as well. Bodies are mostly water and also components of salt.
The energy that keeps us alive is a tiny electric current in our heart muscle that keeps the heart beating.
I think it's quite possible that our energy when released upon our death becomes electromagnetic residue.
Combine that with a traumatic death and you have the right combination for a ghost (collection of energy).

Well let me tell ya, I believe in ghosts. In-fact I have a picture that was taken in my living room that shows 2 ghosts. One is sitting on the back of the couch behind my husband and the other one is floating beside him. The one that is sitting is very define. It shows the legs, ribs, collar bones, head, feet, pelvic and so on. We have weird stuff happens in the house on occasion. What ever they are made of beats me, but they do exist.

Its all energy man, I have ghost putting headless bodies in my front yard, but somehow the fbi doesnt believe me that the ghost are doing it. That or its the pyscho down the street. You should watch ghost hunters on the discovery or the history channel, they usually dont find any eveidence of ghosts, they always find a way to explain it- also you think they would be saying its a ghost to get ratings, but they dont

You have posed a interesting question. I suppose its a possible answer. There could well be a energy source that we have discovered. We humans like to think we know it all but were not as clever as we like to think we are. I will be watching the other answers to this. Very good question.

i have no idea about that
but i have sen a ghost in my old house it was walking on the landing and not only that but when i was in the bathroom on my own i had something go pass me and it hit the bathroom window and there a big crack there now i found out that it was a hair brush but the strange thing is no on else was in the house it was only me how strange is that
and i know no one can explain that.

Have you ever watched Ghost Hunters? This show is very interesting and the equipment that is used is unbelieveable. Try watching it and see what you think, you might have a different opinion.

thats a possibility, who knows? Maybe the world will never know the correct knowledge of ghosts, I for one dont beleive in ghosts unless i actually see one, Did not see any as of yet, the ones i saw were fake
