I am a Democrat and I'm against it in general, but I can't bring myself to say other people cannot...it's too complicated for a "one size fits all" rule. just want to know if there are Republican who feel the same way.

Well im republican and I think abortion is up to the parents.. if they are able to take care of the child financially and such then keep it. If parents are unable to do so then abortion or adoption is a good idea.

Abortion is a personal choice made by individuals based on their own beliefs and the circumstances.

Personally, I do not favor abortions but I do not feel that I have the right to deny another of their choice.

Do I believe that it is wrong - yes
Do I believe that is goes against scripture - yes
Do I believe that an embryo is a human life - yes
Do I feel that abortion should be used as a method of birth control - No

The problem is that even if made illegal - it will still be done.

I think that the solution to abortions is better education and that this cannot be done by cracking down on or making them illegal. I'm not talking about education such as what is currently being taught in our schools. I'm talking about education once entering the abortion clinic or facility. I honestly believe that if each woman faced with an unwanted pregnancy were to be shown a film of an actual abortion and shown the developing stage of an embryo they may reconsider their choice.

Many are scared and are clueless of what is actually going to take place. Instead of protesters standing outside of the clinics waving murderer signs in their faces, a kind and concerned person should be available to provide counsel and education prior to the procedure. The focus should be on the other choices available to them and providing information on additional assistance. Many times these people are not counseled and many are young and do not know what other sources are available to them. Many do not even know what an abortion entails.

Sadly, most are just willing to condemn them. Few are willing to put forth an extra effort to save the child, they would prefer to stand back hurling insults and blowing up buildings and clinics.

From the view of a Republican.

I not a big supporter of abortion and for the record I wish no-one would need or want an abortion. I believe in birth control.

Now I’m going to say something that going to make a lot of people mad at me. Most people who argue against abortion use religion to make their point, and once they have to use religion to make a point then they've lost the argument. We are free in this country to worship how we see fit and not have the values of one religion forced upon us. I can easily make the case that theft is bad and not use religion, same with most of the laws we live by (although some laws just don’t make since), even if they are listed in the Bible or not. Just because their belief system says that abortion is murder don’t give them the right to force their views on someone else. They are free to live them if they wish, if you believe that abortion is wrong then don’t have one, but you can’t force your religious views on someone else, that’s just plain wrong. If you don’t think so, just imagine a religion where a woman has to marry, to obey their husband not matter what, can’t ever get a divorce, can’t hold a job, can’t vote, must have children, can’t use birth control, etc. Yes some radical Christian religions believe that as well as some other religions. Imagine if the was forced on you.

If you want to make abortion illegal then do it without using religion, tell me why, back it up with facts. Explain why life begins at conception, and not at birth. Once you can make a good argument then persuade me and others. Do you make an exception for rape, incest, life of the mother, etc? What about birth control, some prevent the fetus from implanting in the womb is that murder? Some foods might do the same thing is it murder if you had sex and then ate them?

I’m going to put on my flame proof suit now.

Just my opinion.

The essential opposition to abortion is that it is taking a life. Despite the rationalization one with a greatly diminished conscience might try to maintain, the fetus has a Soul, and is alive.

There are some conservatives who are willing to grant that a woman should be allowed to personally take-on the Karma of aborting her child. This is, to not apply some delusional reasoning to it, giving a woman permission to take a life, or to kill a child. So, this is no small matter to be decided, and in my opinion, not a matter that can be decided by anyone other than the woman herself.

The rationalization that in cases of incest or rape, then it is OK. Well, this comes from someone not adequately familiar with the Laws of Karma. And, in particular, Fate Karma. It is not possible for a woman to be raped, unless her Fate Karma allows it. And it is allowed as a reaping of having at some point sowed the same experience. Now, I readily comprehend that few, especially in the West, view this aspect of Karma. But I did want to mention it, since it is a fact.

So, given the level of morality and consciousness that exists today, and the ignorance of a higher Reality, I would personally suggest that it is a woman herself who must chose whether or not to abort her child. And, after being apprised of the "reality" surrounding her action [the Karmic cost involved], that she should be allowed to obtain an abortion, and that a doctor be allowed to "voluntarily" perform such abortion.

I am a conservative, and quite aware of the Laws of Karma.

you're incorrect on quite some ranges. Republicans do no longer hate the undesirable or minorities. I comprehend that i'm dropping my time attempting to describe this to you, however the economic thought that Republicans help relies on the certainty that reducing taxes will boost gross sales to the government, expands corporation and creates activity possibilities - which permits the undesirable in greater effective strategies than merely giving them money. Now, you are able to truly argue that concept, you will locate all sorts of economic archives that helps the alternative declare - yet to assert that "Republicans hate the undesirable" is, nicely, stupid. maximum Republicans do no longer likely care approximately abortion - you will hear a bunch of them take in the combat and argue the factor from a non secular point of view, and so on, and so on, yet what it extremely comes right down to is TAXPAYER FUNDED abortion. maximum Republicans will end the argument by way of asserting, "super - pass have an abortion. pass have ten. i do no longer care - do exactly no longer question me to pay for it.

In extremely rare situations, I would think abortion appropriate, but only in those rare situations...

I am opposed to all late term abortions, when it becomes unquestionably murder.

I am in favor of birth control as a means of "choice."

I am dead-set against the "pro-choice" movement, as it has used lies and generalizations to sell abortion-as-birth-control to America under the guise of "choice."

Anyone under 30 years of age will find out the "non-religious" argument against abortion when they are paying 30% of their incomes to fund the Social Security...

Yes, and they call it the Roe Effect. Basically they believe that liberals and liberal leaning moderates are the ones that have abortions. This of course creates less voting liberals because they were killed off. Less liberals means more conservatives and that's why they believe that conservatives have enjoyed more power after Roe vs Wade than the liberals.

I am a Republican and proud of it. I do not support abortion at all. I believe that live begins at conception... and God states in the bible that he knew us before we entered our mothers wombs. Abortion is murder. the innocent children dodge the needles when the doctors go to exterminate them.. so yes they are alive and abortionists are guilty and hands that are quick to shed innocent blood. anyone who votes for liberals will answer for supporting murdering these little ones..
