So, people die sometimes when they decide to jump out of a plane or off of a building..we all know it could happen...extreme sports put your body in serious danger! So, why is'nt the government stepping in and saying "enough is enough"?.... If you asked the drug czar why Marijuana was illegal, he'd tell you "because it's dangerous and harms your body!", but where's the proof?... ZERO people have died from smoking weed, while thousands die every year from extreme sports! So, nothing against all you extreme atheletes out there, but it's time we put an end to your deadly game! That's right, if I can't do drugs, YOU can't skydive! That'd be the fair thing to do, right?... Afterall, we're just trying to save lives...right?... So, watch out extreme atheletes! I'm lobbying hard to make sure you'll go to jail with all of us stoners next time you decide to risk your life in the name of fun! It's only fair ya know... what are your opinions on this matter?.....

Go get 'em!
But what about the ones who smoke pot and then jump?
They are doomed!

Using your reasoning driving should be illegal as well. You are more likely to die while driving than you are while skydiving. I have been skydiving for 5 years now and haven't had 1 injury. I can't even remember how many times I got hurt playing football in High School. Maybe the government should ban football too.

how do you compare smoking dope to thrill sports? thousands die each year due to driving to work or school. thousands die slipping in the bathtub. thousands die due to drug overdoses, (yes you can overdose on pot, i have, you smoke too much you get really really sick)
While skydiving, and basejumping can appear to be addictive, what happens is the rush is actually endorphins going off in your brain. But rarely have I seen anyone lose everything due to basejumping or skydiving! but have seen many lose out on life due to drugs, including weed. Maybe we should make cars illegal, or bathtubs illegal cuz so many people die in them?
Weed happens to be an illegal substance, and yes contrary to what you might think is in fact one of the gateway drugs to bigger and better drugs, (cigarrettes are considered a gateway drug as well). So to answer you question, basejumping and skydiving are not illegal substances, while most drugs are. does that make any sense at all?

so make extreme sports illegal bc people die? Make pot legal bc it makes you worthless? since people die in extreme sports we should then make everything illegal that could cause you to die.. So you cant drive a car, ride a bike, swim (wat if you get a cramp), play anything where contact is involved, run/walk on unlevel ground, go out in the sun (skin cancer), no sex (hiv), no drinking (liver disease), fatty foods (heart attack), working (any number of things can happen), smoking anything (lung cancer), etc...

so with your logic we can no longer do anything. I mean your house isnt even safe, what if a plane crashes through it? but you go smoke, i dont really care.

Marijuna isn't illegal because "It harms your body", it's illegal because it leaves you worthless or atleast less in value to society. We need to work together in this world, and those who abuse drugs are destroying our ability to do that on the highest form.
