Boring ? Certainly when viewed from the outside.
Round and round? Almost all sport is round and round or back and forward, in some respect, so that argument is specious.
Inside the sport or for regular fan, or even for those willing to learn and enjoy (both parts are required), F1 is the pinacle of motor sport (never mind what the Americans say, they are just jealous that they don't have control over it), and is very enjoyable for millions of fans and casual observers the world around.
So maybe the problem isn't with the sport??

i guess everyone likes different things. I find football boring but people would have a go at me for saying that. My husband is sitting here watching the grand prix he doesn't like football either so I am pleased I am not a football widow. At least he is not off galavanting across the country to watch the away games every weekend. It's only 3 hours in front of the TV once a fortnight. But yes I am surfing the net whilst the F1 is on so I guess you could say I am a tad bored!

Coz we haven't got Murray Walker doing the commentating, complete with his usual helping of gaffs or the Murray Walker kiss-of-death/curse, 2 laugh about anymore.

i agree, it has becoming less entertaining than watching paint dry.
Every year i eagerly await the start of the season but since that abysmal US Race, when there was a Tyre Malfunction or
was it purely the Yanks digging at the French? or the French digging at the Yanks?
F1 became political and I'm having no part in that.

Because they probably didn't here about MotoGP.There are things to see, for example when Rossi is 'playing'( riding his motorcycle on one wheel-that's grate, or when he's doing other Rossi stuff). If you think (of course) that F1 is boring then watch MotoGP,you'll see the deference!

The biggest problem with F-1 is that they will usually finish the race in the same order that they qualified in. No passing=BORING! That would mean that the whole thing with F-1 would be qualification, after that they are just going to run around the track during the race in the same order!

good question!
We have the grand prix on at the moment, that's why I am on Yahoo answers and my husband is asleep!

I did go to a grand prix once, it was far more exciting to watch from the grandstand, but I landed up with a stiff neck, nobody told me I should just look in one direction, rather than try and follow the damn cars.

Schumacher's constant winning up to 2004 was boring and now Alonso is going to be doing the same. That is why.
