Time is linear. You can only go one way through time and that is forward. You can never go to the past.

None are completely separate. All have both. Karate while in many cases being a hard linear style came from white crane KungFu, and has elements (though not widely practiced IMO) of circular and linear movements. WingChun KungFu, while being a liner and direct system incorporates crucular movements in some cases, such as the HeunSao. Aikido, a circular martial art has many linear and circular elements. Most people know about the circular part but linear techniques include the principles of hiriki-no-yosei (in Yoshinkan), iriminage, irimitski, ect. There are many more. Chen TaijiChuan also being though of generally as circular incorporates many linear concepts as well. The point is that there is no separate distinction. All martial arts include both circular and linear, because both are needed.

I KNOW time is LINEAR. It makes no sense that time could possible be circular. One of my high school teachers told us that this is a Buddhist belief, and he tried to convince us that this was true. I dont believe it!

Time is neither linear or circular. Our concept of "time" is actually fractal in nature.
