I am wondering if anyone had joined a nudist society, and what they felt about the people within it. Is it safe, are the people private, etc.
Any information would be great.

Yes, most people in these groups are safe. The safest ones may be the hardest to get into. But any kind of screening at all results in a group that is pretty safe. The worst is public nude beaches, like Haulover Beach in Miami, where anybody in the world could walk onto. As far as "private", it depends on what you mean. Obviously there is no bodily privacy! :-) But as far as informational privacy, you're pretty good. I mean it's unlikely that someone is going to spread the word around to non-nudists that you are a nudist or are a part of a group. It could happen - it's just a risk you'd need to accept... but most nudists are pretty respectful... and of course since they are nudists too, they don't feel you being a nudist is a scandal and worthy of gossipping about. Most nudist groups are going to understand your need for privacy and not ask

The people within nudist resorts/clubs are great and have a good out-look on life. Of course it's safe and nothing like the anti-nudists, and the ignorant, would say, especially as far as kids are concerned.

Nudists generally are not nudists because it affords them the gratification of seeing others naked or the opportunities to ogle, as one might think the draw to a nudist group might be. Often they are in it because they themselves feel uninhibited and unashamed of their own bodies and enjoy the free feeling of being without clothing. There is little to no excitement in it for a genuine nudist. Those that do go for the gratification are quickly labeled as trolls and avoided or are quickly disappointed and leave to find other ways to meet their gratification needs.

If you haven't noticed all the people in the nudists colony are fat, ugly and saggy. So, if you fit in go get you some.
