Ive used basically all of them, but now I use Ares - right now it has the least amount of "mistakes" (like searching for metallica and resulting with nirvana), and least amount of corrupt files. Ive also been able to find every song I want, and it downloads within a minute (partly due to my connection, partly due to Ares).

azureus using bittorrents is by far the best way to download get the software for free from download.com

id say limewire, but im not entirelly sure if its the BEST software...

I use limewire as well, there's morpheus but I don' t know how great they are....
