I am interested in becoming a member of DST, but I already completed my undergraduate matriculation. I am enrolled at a new school and I don't have any connections with any members on campus. How would I go about pledging in graduate school?

The best thing for you to do would be to check the national website for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. I may be incorrect, but I believe that you can apply for membership on the graduate level....but as I said, I may be wrong....

The national website is: www.deltasigmatheta.org

Look under the membership tab. The answer to having the ability to apply for graduate level membership or if it is on the basis of invitations only should be there.

Also, either way, DST is a service driven organization, so if you are not currently volunteering in the community you are missing out on the opportunity to meet some of the members because they ARE volunteering. You may also want to find out what graduate chapters are in your area (also available on the national website) and check out their website and contact the chapter for membership information.

You should probably go to their national website and search for a graduate advisor and email her and tell her your situation. She will be able to tell you more further information. That's the best thing since you don't know anyone in your new school.
