My favorite character was Uncle Jessie (Denver Pyle). He was good as Mr. Darling on the Andy Griffith shows too. Then there was Roscoe P. Coltrain (James Best). He was in a couple episodes of Andy Griffith too; he could play guitar and sing.

I was entranced by Daisy, but the one i thought was a memorable character was the Sheriff.
