Oh, yes!! I love nature and went camping plenty when I was pregnant. You should make sure you have plenty of water and/or juices and of course your prenatal vitamins!! And like some others have said, take an air mattress for sleeping comfort.
And there are plenty of other camping foods other than hot dogs. You can cook anything on a grill or campfire. Just take some pans and you can cook pancakes or eggs for breakfast. It doesn't have to be prepackaged cereal bars. Take a large cooler (iced full) with chicken breasts for slicing into strips, cover with seasoned breadcrumbs and grill until done. Also take some skewers and k-bob some shrimp, beef, or whatever you want!!(just cook thoroughly!!) All veggies are good on the grill too. (wrap in foil with butter and seasonings) Just because you're camping doesn't mean you have to limit your foods. Take what you'd normally eat and just cook it over the campfire. Make sure you have well rounded meals. Fruits are great snacks for baby and granola and such...Just don't over do it because you will be getting tired a lot easier then before. So take naps if you must. If you have a hammock, oh, yeah! It is was comfortable for me. I would take naps under the trees and relax by the fire at night with some smores!
Have fun!!
Blessed be and congrats!

Well your right about the hot dogs and stay away from lunch meat as well unless its cooked. you can pretty much do anything you want just don't be going on any roller coasters or bungee jump in. Your baby is well protective in there but do be careful of certain things and just ask when you are unsure your doctor knows best. If you are going camping soon and you have a fire watch the way the smoke goes you don't want to breath in to much of that stuff and have fun boating I did at 3 months pregnant and my doctor told me it was ok. but again ever body is different so just give him/her a call and ask no question is dumb when your pregnant. good luck to you

I went camping at 7 month preg and I was fine. They say not to eat hot dogs.- All pre-made meats should be cooked to a certain degree- 180 I think to kill any bacteria living, I did eat 2 hot dogs when I went camping. It should be ok. Make sure you get non-processed h.dgs.

I went a couple years ago, spring like weather, and even fly fished at 6 months. I consulted my Dr. first, and they said as long as I rest when I felt the need, continued to keep my fluid intake up, and ate normally, there shouldn't be any problem. The only concern at the time for me was, there were no medical facilities nearby, so if something had happened we would have been out of luck. At 1.5 months though, that shouldn't yet be a concern. Happy camping :)

There's no reason why you couldn't go camping. Just pack lots of bottled water, and stay away from foods that should be refrigerated (cause a cooler just doesn't cut it for storing egg salad, ya know?). Bring a bottle of hand sanitizer too, if you're gonna be in the woods instead of a campground with running water.

Of course it's okay. I went camping when I was eight months pregnant, with no problems. Just make sure that you take it easy. Also, I would suggest taking an air mattress and make sure that it's properly inflated, with no holes, so that you can sleep comfortablly.

Yes, it is safe to go camping.

For those who asked about hotdogs.... They are not safe to eat if they are "cured" meaning they contain preservatives that contain sodium nitrite, a substance which affects the growing brain and can result in a higher risk of brain tumors (cancer) in children. See the provided link.

It has nothing to do with whether they are cooked or not, it has to do with the substance used in the preservative process.

Surer, just take plenty of bottled water and fruits and vegtables, and other edibles you can eat during preg. Also for comfort, sleep on an air mattress. I loved sleeping on an air mattress through my entire pregnancy, rather than a reg. bed.
