I reside in Florida and I've seen a brown lizard scurrying around my house. I'd like to get him outside before he dies from lack of nuitrition and water.

It sounds like you may have an Anole ~ (Scrub lizards are typically silverish in color and very abrasive looking) if the lizard is able to climb the walls, that is likely what it is (ar a type of gecko) either way, your best bet is to catch it at night. If it is Anole, they will be sleeping at night. You just have to find his favorite hang out and capture him asleep.
If its a gecko, it will be nocturnal ~ leaving a single light on where it is most active may attract him (in a search for bugs) other wise, find him where he sleeps during the day.
Or you could just leave an open window or door and it will find its own way out! (you of course may end up with more critters that way too lol Hope that helps, Leo
