TRUE STORY: When I was a teenager I played the Ouija board with another friend. We played it only about 3 or 4 times. After the second time, the pointer would start moving all over the board as soon as my friend would put her hands on it! It was so spooky. She would swear to me she wasn't moving it herself.. and I could see she was telling the truth. Her fingertips were barely touching the pointer ... The third or fourth time we played, that pointer went crazy.. It just kept moving like mad only at her fingertip touch. I wrote each and every word it spelled out. It told me a lot about by family, sister and even my future profession and name of my future husband. Then it started cussing at us!!! Really bad ugly words. I immediately stopped playing and told my friend we shouldn't play any more. She agreed and we shoved the board on the top drawer in a closet. After a couple of days went by I went to visit my friend again. It was around 7:00 p.m. and she was lying down on the sofa watching TV. I sat on the corner of the couch by her feet and when a commercial came on I asked how was everything and touched her on the feet. She immediately started kicking me and screaming at me horrible things as if she was possessed!! Then started saying that these Jamaican made wall figurines were talking to her! Luckily her Mom was there and immediately took the figurines from the wall and threw them out. At that point, my friend fainted on the sofa. Her Mom was so startled as well as I. We didn't dare move. But then I told her to get something, anything strong smelling to try to wake my friend up. I sat on the other side of the sofa and put my friend's head on my lap and started to pat her on the cheeks and calling her name. As her Mom went into the kitchen to find something strong smelling like ammonia or something, my friend opened her eyes and just stared straight at me!!!! I asked her if she was alright, and she didn't say a thing, just kept staring at me. When her Mom returned empty handed cause she couldn't find anything, my friend immediately closed her eyes. I told her Mom to go back and find anything, Clorox, or Borax, any strong smelling cleaning substance. When she left again, my friend opened her eyes again and just stared at me speechless but looking straight at me with penetrating eyes! I was freaked out! I mean, I was only 17 at the time and had no clue as what to do. I felt the hair at the back of my neck stand up! Her Mom finally found Clorox and that helped wake up my friend. But when she woke up, she was talking like a 4 or 5 year old!!! By that time it was already around 9:00 P.M. She was saying she wanted to go to the park to play on the swings, just like a toddler would ask! She started crying like a child and put up a fit... I got brave and yelled at her that we were not going to the park so late at night. She then calmed down and her Mom gave her some sleeping pills. She finally fell asleep and I left for home.

The next morning I went to pick up my friend to go to school. She seemed distant and I guessed it was the sleeping pills still in effect. Finally we got to school and I took her to her classroom. At lunch time, we went to grab a bite and, while we were sitting at a school bench eating our snack, suddenly her arms fell to the side and she drew a blank stare into the horizon. I started calling her name and asking her what was wrong. She just wouldn't answer and kept staring into the horizon... After 5 or 10 minutes went by, she finally "woke up" from the trance and kept on chewing her snack. I was so amazed that I asked her what had happened. She turned to me and asked What do you mean? I explained to her what had just happened and she told me she couldn't remember a thing I was saying. She only replied that she could hear me calling her but from a very long distance and could hear my voice as if it was far away!!! Boy oh boy was I freaked out.

That afternoon when we were walking back home and were at the doorsteps of her apartment, she abruptly turned around and asked me straight to the eye where was the Ouija Board!!! I almost jumped back, but stood right in her face and asked Why do you want it? And she answered: "Because I am part of the Ouija Board and the Ouija Board is in me..."

I am telling you, I had not expected that answer at all!!! I just stared at her and after a couple of seconds I realized she was possessed. I don't no from where I got the guts but, I just stared right back at "whatever was in her head" and answered: Well I am sorry for you but you and I are not going to play that thing anymore...! She paid no attention to me and just went inside; I followed her in and after a while she said she was going to take a shower and I said okay, I will just go home, take a shower also and come around to see you later. And so I left. (I lived just around the corner in another apartment, about a 1 minute walk).

Finally I went back to see her around 9:00 pm. She was a bit more alert than usual and asked me what was happening to her. I asked her what was she feeling and she said that earlier that evening she was alone in the kitchen getting something to eat and that all of the sudden she woke up and found herself lying on the kitchen floor with her head underneath the cupboards!!! Apparently she had fainted... That really scared me. Then we sat on the sofa and she started to "spill the beans"... She told me that she could hear a male voice in her head telling her that he wanted ME!!!!!!!!!! That he was using HER to get to ME!!!! And that eventually I was going to be HIS!!!! At that point I almost ran out of there!!! But I didn't... I stayed with my friend because I knew it wasn't her, that it was a mean and evil spirit that apparently was out to get me, and that if I had been brave enough to go through this, I would be brave enough to confront this whatever thing. After all, she was my best friend and I wanted to help her ... She also told me that he was planning on "getting me" that night at midnight!!! It was a Friday night and since my friend and I would always go out to a popular dancing place, we decided to get the he** out of there before midnight and go to a more crowded place so the dancing place was perfect. She also told me that if I was going to return home to get dressed, to not be ALONE at any time, to bring my stuff over and get dressed at her place. So I called home and my little brother (11 year old) was at home. I told him I was coming home and to wait for me awake. He had no clue as to what I was asking but agreed. I immediately walked home and started to grab all my things and return to my friends apartment and get dressed there. As I was finishing packing my stuff, I heard my friend scream out my name and when I looked out the window, she was at her balcony screaming: "I TOLD YOU NOT TO BE ALONE.....!!!! When I looked at my little brother, he had fallen asleep!!!!!!!!!! I rushed over to him and woke him up immediately; he just jumped off the sofa! I told him that I would be at my friends house and to tell our Mom where I was and ran to my friends house...

When I arrived, she then told me that she screamed because she had heard the voice saying "I AM GOING TO TAKE HER NOW..!!! We got as fast dressed as possible and head for the dancing place... While we were waiting for a bus to pick us up, she looked over to the apartment buildings where we lived and said that she could see HIM walking on the rooftops and signaling to her that she was going to be sorry for taking me away. I turned around to the buildings but saw nothing; but I also turned the middle finger way up in the air and said: "THIS IS THE ONLY THING YOU ARE GOING TO GET FROM ME". She said that he was angry for me saying that, but I could care less.

When we got to the dancing place, my friend's boyfriend was there and, when he came to greet her, she backed him off very abruptly, turned to me and asked me: "Who is this guy? I was speechless! Her boyfriend asked me if something was wrong and I told him just to let her be for a moment, that something had happened and she wasn't feeling well. As he walked away, she told me she couldn't recognize that person!!! She had temporary amnesia or something!!!! She dodged her boyfriend all night and then wouldn't return his calls for quite a while.

Next day, her Mom decided to take her to a shrink. They made a couple of tests on her but couldn't find anything physically wrong. The doctor determined that maybe she was going through stress due to her parents divorce and gave her some anti-depressants.

After a month or so she just came back to normal and one day claimed to have remembered who her boyfriend was. By that time the guy didn't even want to speak to her, cause he thought she had ignored him on purpose...

I kept by her side as much as I could during that whole month, and on guard, just like a damn sentinel, or maybe a guardian angel for her!!!!! During all these years she has continually asked me what had happened to her and I tell her this same story over and over again. She claims to remember NOTHING to this day.....

This is a true story and I am a survivor of it...
Take my advice: "Don't play with a Ouija board; it is simply NOT a game."

Once, on a cold, autumn evening, my cousins came over to visit. They told us that they couldn’t stay for dinner because that day was the anniversary of the death of a very close family friend, and they were going to go to the cemetery to embrace the memory of her once-alive soul. They stayed for a bit, and we talked and everything, just like a normal visit. Then, before they left, I decided to go with them. It was okay with my parents, and my cousins love me, so we went on our way.
Everyone was walking across the cemetery, stomping on dead pumpkins, talking about our friend, when I tripped over my shoelaces and fell on the pumpkin debris. I picked myself up and tied them. By that time, my cousins were nowhere to be seen. I started to freak out, when I stumbled upon something wet. I looked down and I saw an old gravestone, shaped like a fountain. There was no water coming out, but I could hear a never-ceasing trickling noise. All of a sudden, I felt something grab my shoulder. I screamed like the world was coming to an end, shrugged the hand away and run as fast as my legs could carry me. It grabbed my ankle, and I struggled some more, but I managed to escape. That must have been the word running through my mind the most: escape.
I found my cousins and “forgot” to tell them what happened. They just assumed that I was goofing off, and don’t make a huge deal about it. In the car, I happened to look at my shoulder and found blood all over it, printed in the shape of a handprint. I got really scared, and told myself I was imagining it. Just to make myself a bit more secure, I glanced at the ankle that the “thing” had grabbed. To my dismay, there was an anklet of blood, not yet dry, wrapped around my ankle, as if to say: “You can’t escape from me.” I quickly wiped all the evidence off before anyone saw my expression of horror, perhaps permanently engraved onto my face.
That night I had a dream. In it I was standing in front of the fountain, now completely restored and giving out generous amounts of cool, clean water. I suddenly realized that I am extremely thirsty. It felt like I hadn’t had water for days. I slowly lowered my hands to the fountain, allowing water to be encased in my palms, and then lifted it to my mouth to drink. It tasted so good, and I drink until I’m satisfied. I heard a trickling sound, like the one before. Then something started brushing up against me, not really touching, just lightly brushing. Then, unexpectedly, two hands reached up and started choking me. I’m choking and coughing, and abruptly, I wake up.
I assure myself that it was only a dream. So I get up to get a glass of water from my sink, because my mom says water takes away bad dreams. Above my sink there is a huge mirror, covering the entire wall. You couldn’t miss your reflection even if you weren’t looking. I happened to glance up, and I was wearing a tank top. As I stared at my reflection, my whole body got so cold, it was numb. There, on the exact place on my neck the thing had grabbed me, were two bloody handprints, exact replicas of the one on my shoulder I had discovered in the car. I opened my mouth to scream, but no sound came out, I was so terrified. I washed the print off, went back to bed, and decided to go back to the cemetery in the morning.

The following morning, I woke up bright and early to write a forged letter of remembrance to Rose, our family friend. I felt kind of guilty about it, but at least it would help me figure out a lot of stuff. By the time I was done, it was 8:00 AM, not too early to call my cousins. I dialed their number and told them that we forgot a letter and that we should go back this evening to give it to Rose. My oldest cousin Maya was talking to me, and she agreed. We made plans for Maya and her siblings to come pick me up via car at 8:30 that evening.
That night, they came as promised. They made me hold a bouquet of deep red roses. Red was my favorite color, but just then it reminded me of blood. Anyhow, we sat in the car, and headed to the cemetery.
We’re walking across to get to Rosa’s grave, when I trip once again, me and my klutzy feet. I bend down to tie my laces tighter, and as I stand up, I realize that my cousins have vanished. I am lost once again, and so I wander around, knowing very well that that’s the opposite of what I’m supposed to do. Then, right out of the blue, I hear someone whispering in a scratchy voice, Celina…Celina…. I get scared out of my head. Then somehow, I notice out of the corner of my eye, the fountain from my dream is right in front of me. I hear that trickling noise over and over, and suddenly, I’m tempted to drink out of the fountain. I know I shouldn’t, but my muscles seem to have a mind of their own. I reach down into the fountain, scoop up some water, and raise it to my lips. The moment it touches my tongue, I’m repelled by its bitter taste. I drop it in the fountain and pick up my roses once again.
But as soon as they’re in my hands, they turn into black thorns and scratch my fingers till they bleed. Then they crumble up by themselves and floated in the wind, but still staying by each other, so that they made one thin line, piercing the indigo night sky. Then I heard laughter coming from inside the fountain. It was that scratchy voice again, but this time, it was moving from the fountain, until it got right behind me. It started scratching my back, just scratching until it was unbearable. But I couldn’t move; I was scared stiff. Finally, I gathered up the courage to run, and never come back.
I ran all the way to the car, where my cousins were waiting patiently. They deserved an explanation, but I wasn’t ready to give it all up. I did admit that I had gotten lost and wandered off. Then I lied and said I saw a pretty cardinal, the state bird, and I was so hooked on watching it, that I lost track of the time. My cousins just barely believed my implausible story, but it had to do.
When I got home, I peeled off my shirt and just as I had expected, I saw scratches all over my back, framed with dried blood. I decided to do a bit of research. I found out that a lady 50 years ago had died by drowned in a fountain and someone had been choking her.

This story is true.
