Because if you ask me, divorce trivializes marriage more than two men saying "I do"

I'm not taking a position on gay marriage one way or another; I'm just pointing out the flaw in the anti-gay position.

The heart of sanctity is in commitment, not sex. With a divorce rate at 52% in the US, gay marriage is not going to be the downfall of the church.

I have been married for twenty seven years (first and only marriage). My husband and I are responsible for the quality of our marriage. Gay marriage does not threaten the sanctity of my marriage. I can only wish all couples (gay and straight) the blessings of a long term marriage.

I agree with you! I'm straight myself, but I don't have a problem with gay marriage. It seems to me that there is so much suffering in the world, that if two people (any two people) love each other, it should be celebrated! We should concentrate on putting an end to hatred and heartbreak, and let people with love in their hearts live their lives.

it seems to me this is a matter of words.if two people want to co-habitate then draw up legal papers and state your wishes legally.then when the two tire of each other they can refer to their legal papers and end it.divorce ?marriage ? all words.
