Mr. Kalam came up from very bottom line. Real hard work and honesty gave him good price. Unfortunately no politician is prepared to follow his step as it will be very hard some where impossible for them.
He still have good intrest to teach students as his confidence says only the younger generatons can change India in aspects such as Industrial, agricultural, health, peace etc. He has no confidence abut the people and politicians who does not know their own power and judgement. Most of the puplic never vote for the honest and straight forward politician.
One time all politicians will come to a single group and all the politicians will definitly appreciate him.
That is the time of his end. That time the politicians will install his statue, open photos in the street corner, Use his photos for their political party advertisments, do all monkey business by forgetting his hard work.
He knew all these things will happen. He is still intrested to do his own teaching profession in Chennai IIT instead of continueing as President.

president kalaam is a great man .....I really respect the zeal with which he wants to improve the society .......unfortunatly it seems the indian politics has again been able to defeat a man with great intentions.... I have read his biography as how he struggled was helped by the priests in the temples in south indian and he became a great rocket scientist

President kalaam is a gentleman and there is no room for gentleman under the congress regime.

He sure is not fed up.....there is a general understanding(unwritten) (unofficial) that no president will seek a second term.and hence his decision....look up to the history.....never has any Indian President been elected for a sec term.

Never. He is an untiring person unlike ordinary political baffoons.You can never find such an inspiring "Scientist President" in Indian history

maybe he is beter of as a scientist but it will be a big loss for the nation if he steps down.
he must face it all and remain there.

again it proves, that our country is governed by in-corrigible , corrupt , self centered, rowdies, blood-suckers, shameless, etc .., bunch of hudlums.
he is just no match, poor guy; must be at loss of his wits; whose company he is in........
