Mother's Day. I send all my kids thank you cards for becoming the wonderful adults they have become. When we have the rare opportunity to be together we go camping and do the "remember when" thing - when they tell me all the things that would have grounded them for life had I known at the time...
Christmas - for the last 17 yrs we have played secret Santa and found a family struggling but trying hard and left them stuff, right down to pet food and gift certificates for a parent's night out and a baby sitter. We've never been found out. We take the money we'd have spent on gifts for each other and put it to much better use, and my kids learned the gift of giving early in life. We still gave to each other - but we'd make "coupon books" for back rubs, feeding the animals, etc rather than buying gifts that weren't nearly as important as the gift of ourselves.
Any day that brings my family together is my favorite holiday!

I love Christmas, because it's the perfect time to get together with friends and family, and trade gifts, sing songs, eat great home-cooked food, and of course read the Christmas story, and remember the day our savior was born.

I'd have to say Thanksgiving and Christmas. Because both are during my favorite time of year, Fall/Winter, and because the weather usually is pretty nice then, the gifts, the traveling to family and visiting, eating and cooking, and the music.

Ok, my first favorite holiday isn't really a holiday, but it is September 9, the day i became a mom. Then it is Christmas. I love to see the looks on my kids faces as they open up a gift I know they really wanted.

Halloween because.....
No no..i'm jk. I like Halloween and Christmas. I love Halloween because you get to eat a whole bunch of candy, and I just love the scary feeling. it's probably because I love horror movies. And Christmas because you get a whole bunch of presents and you get really close to all of your family members! =)

I like Christmas because you get time off of work, get to spend time with family that you sometimes don't see all year long, eat, travel, etc, etc.
I also like New Years, because it's the beginning of a new time...start over, etc

It'd have to be Valentine's Day...if i'm seeing someone, its a perfect opportunity to be extra romantic & expressive with each other. You get to bask in an atmosphere of love & passion that exudes from other happy couples on that day.
If i'm single on Valentine's day, though, its a perfect opportunity to relationship-bash & to make fun of sappy couples & their cheesy gifts with my friends over a bottle of White Zinfandel.
