and if the Supreme court let the voters decide the election, wouldn't America be better off today?

I say yes on this one. Had Gore been president, he would've avoided 9/11, kept the good economy humming along, avoided this huge Iraqi mess (of Bush's doing, of course) by pleading Saddam to leave power and face the tribunals for crimes against humanity, and came up with a sure-fire plan to help the Gulf Coast in Katrina's wake. Bush was incompetent to all of the above!

1) Bush won FL no matter how many recounts there were.
2) The Supreme Court didn't stop voters from deciding the election, they already had. They just told the FL courts to obey their own laws.
3) The thought of Gore as Pres on 9/11/01 still sends shivers down my spine. We would be much worse off.

Dude, the FACT is that Gore lost in every vote count, even the unofficial ones done by the NY Times six months after the inauguration. The FACT also is that the result had already been certified for Bush prior to the USSC getting involved, which means they didn't alter the outcome, the outcome was already written in ink.

To keep saying that Gore won is to brand yourself an idiot. You might as well have a tattoo on your forehead that says "I don't need your facts, my hallucinations are my friends".

I realize this isn't much of an answer, but it wasn't much of a question.

1. Algore didn't win. Every 'recount' in Florida had GWB as the winner.

2. The Supreme Court decided that Florida's LEGISLATURE, not the courts had the right to determine the result. Read the Constitution if you don't believe me, Article II, Section 1.

3. No, Algore would be hugging trees as the Islamic-Fascists attacked the USA repeatedly.

Good Lord, NO!!!!

Can you imagine Gore handling the 9/11 bombing? How high do you think tax rates would be now? Do you think Gore would have cut taxes as Bush did?

Your (as he did) shows just how blindly biased you are. You are obviously not well read and are not a thinker. You are just a poor follower with no original thoughts or ideas. I feel sorry for you.

Dang you still stuck on this dummy?

Gore did not win. The Supreme Court did not pick Bush as the winner.
They told Florida to follow their election laws and that's what happened.

Come on up to the present time and quit living in nether nether land.

Absolutely. AND, we wouldn't be TRILLIONS of dollars in debt over an illegal and unconstitutional war that Bush created just because his family had a personal vendetta against Hussein, and because Cheney wants all the OIL swimming underneath Iraq's sands. -RKO-

Youre a good liberal. How about this one: "If ifs and buts were candy and nuts would we all have a merry Christmas"?

You bet we'd be better off! We wouldn't be fighting in Iraq (Bush's Vietnam)... we would have focused on getting Osama. Our plant may have had a chance to get greener... our deficit wouldn't look like it does....guess we could go on and on....but, unfortunately the election was stolen and we have live with the consequences!
