First of all: HAVE ENORMOUS LUCK!!! That is a requirement for anyone to make it.

Second: Your teacher should know someone to refer you to for further study and auditions. Have your teacher engage his/her network of contacts to start you out.

Third: Live near a major production capital, like New York, Los Angeles or Chicago. If this isn't possible, you'll need to have as much exposure in your local area as possible. Try to get into shows or programs that will get reviewed in the newspapers, particularly regional or state-wide newspapers.

Fourth: Enlist the help of at least one of your parents. They need to be behind you 100%, especially at age 12.

Fifth: Be willing to wait until a little later in life. You may be very talented now, but if you take some time to improve your skills on a smaller stage, you may emerge later more polished and ready for the big lights. Remember, most stars didn't hit it big until they were over 18 years old.

Your parents have to support you in every way.

Call some agents in LA and tell them youre a star.

Get a press kit together with some photos.

Get creative and start learning how to market yourself and your image.

Get a vocal coach or coaches.

Listen to music all the time.

Learn to sing really well.

Get an acting coach, take college acting classes.

The sky is the limit if you have the drive.

Write a letter to Christina Aguilera asking the same question and see what she says.

Have your parents contact an agency in your area that handles young talent. With any luck, you will get an interview with them & that will be your start!

It's a tough, cut-throat business. Work hard & make sure you stay in school.

Good luck!

start sending out your resumes to all of the places you would be interested in hearing from, or working with.

that would be step number one. people will never know you unless you go out there and sound off in some form.
it depends on what type of job you want yo pursue.
