Any good, unique, and effective strategies for trapping your opponent would be greatly appreciated :)

Control the three center columns. Set yourself up so that you have two simultaneous possible ways of scoring. Practice solitaire, alternating play from both sides (you would be surprised how effective practice is!).

start in the bottom right corner and go out in all three directions cause your opponet will probably block your bottom row to the left of your first play if it is to the right and to the right of your first play if it is to the left
