RyanAir has very inexpensive flights to Stockholm, and you can go by train from there. Also check out SAS, Scandinavian airlines, as they also sometimes offer really good deals.

Dont think there is such a thing it's very expensive My friend just booked a 4 day trip there for 2 children and herself, husband and baby and guess how much? 5000 euro!!!! Madness!! I believe you can do the whole thing in 1 day also which is still expensive but hey if it's what you must do......do it. I personally could have a week in the sun 10 times for the money she is spending on this trip. Still I believe it's magical. It's true about having to wear suitable clothing its 30 degrees below and if you havent the right stuff you are forced to wear stuff they give you getting off the plne which someone else wore the previous day.....need i say more!!

I don't know that answer. Just be sure to take suitable clothing and plenty of money. A friend of mine took his family, only to be told their clothes weren't appropriate and had to wear things provided by the resort. They said they felt looked down upon by the rich. Also, i don't know about lager, wine, beer, but spirits are only sold in singles. He had to buy two singles to get a double to save trips to the bar.

Having said that, they enjoyed the rest of the stay. Santa delivered presents to the kids by sleigh, to the log cabin.
