Most people do not know this, but LimeWire was recently passed by the government as LEGAL, because it is "file-sharing". Also, yes, it is filled with viruses. If you really want to use it, do not download any programs on it. If you want to download an episode of a TV show or something, download "BitTorrent" at BitTirrent.com and then go to IsoHunt.com and search the show. Use LimeWire sparingly.

I haven't had as many spam problems with limewire as I had with KAZAA. And the jury is still out on the legal stuff...The problem I had with limewire was, the program caused computer to freeze up once and awhile

It's a peer-to-peer sharing software, so you can get anything from it, including any type of spam and viruses and illegal stuff. But u can use it without downloading any harm for yourself. Just try to use it wisely.

It's not legal at all. I don't have any issues with any spam or viruses from it.

As long as you run an up-to-date anti-virus program it will not be a problem. Limewire itself is not illegal. Using it to share copyrighted material IS illegal.
