You have to live your own life, after explaining the same to your child.

Your life belongs to you and no one else. Though your child does not want you to get married, you must explain to her that you want to be happy as well. I believe your daughter has the fear of having an "Evil Step-mother." In that case, find a mate that you know wont be controlling and that will love you and your daughter. If your daughter is young and you want a mate, I would suggest getting a girlfriend for now and not marrying until your daughter leaves the nest. I know that if I lost a parent (either through devorce or other ways), I would not want some stranger who's known me for only a few years being the boss.

If the loss was through death. I'm assuming she doesn't want a replacement mother, because to a kid, there is only one. You getting married could mean to her that you're trying to forget about your past wife.

If I am correct about the death part, I'm sorry that you lost your wife. I offer you my condolences.

Time will heal your pain, her request to you was not to get remarried. That was a selfish act on her part, we are all human. I am happily married and have a 4 yr old child, if i were to pass away tomorrow, i would expect my husband not to stay single the rest of his life. That would be his decision. You should wait, a while like a year or so, give your self a chance to heal from your loss, let your child heal from his/her loss, remember sex isn't everything, your child needs you more then ever right now. Be there for him/her and not just your self, it's not all about you. Try thinking what would be best for your child.

I suppose it depends on how old your daughter is.
If she is very young, then you cannot blame her for not wanting you to get married, she has lost her mum, in her eyes she might lose her dad as well. If she is in her teens, then she will have to get used to the idea, she will not be living with you forever, eventually, she will find some one and want to settle down, you have your happiness to think about.
If she is grown up and married, tell her to mind her own bussiness and get on with your life.
As for sex, it's not everything, there are more things in life than sex, but if you like it so much, What did God give you a right hand for?

A marriage is only a life sentence for one of the two who are in the partnership. As stated by the Vows, "Until by death do us part". That is until one or the other partner dies. Thus you are not bound to do without your natural urges or biological needs just because you survived her. I can understand you may want to keep her wishes but whats the point if they are not relistic ones?

Hi Gk Thanks for answering my questions you are a sweet man, I am very impressed with you knowledge on porcelain, is Porc. Leclair the same as Limoge from France?.
To answer your question. It is wonderful that you have a good sexual appetite, you will make any woman happy, I hope you will find happiness soon. Do not forget that girls (daughters) are daddy's girls, and they are very competitive when it comes to sharing their daddy love with a strange woman that is not her mother. I am not a child Psychologist however I suggest that you choose your spouse carefully, be sure that she makes your daughter feels that she is number one and you are number two in her life, this will be very hard. Do remind whom ever you date seriously that your daughter is first in your life. When it comes to your sexual desires: Pray to God. for a wife and a mother for your child. Good luck.

I agree with those above and recommend therapy because this loss has many long reaching effects. I would say to have therapy both separate from your daughter and family therapy together to get to the root of the problem

A) If she's under the age of 14, win her over by choosing a woman who'll love her as much as she loves you.

B) If she's over 14, wait 'til she's in college and then get married again. In the meantime, date around. Find your next mate.

C) If you lost your wife through death, please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. If through divorce or desertion, maybe you'd better examine ALL the reasons for that action BEFORE you undertake to try again.

ok, is that the ONLY reason you want to get married? If so, I can see WHY she doesn't want you to get married. It wouldn't be right to her, your wife, and yourself only getting married for that reason!! There would be alot of conflict, and then DIVORCE!! why would you put your child through that?
