1) When something doesn't cost anything
2) When a person can do what they want - open choice
3) When someone isn't trapped
:p
I'm sure that doesn't make any sense.
BUT at least I got it out of my BRAIN. Yay.

Is there such a thing as a free meal ticket? usual not there normally something attached to the "free" whatever.. Even if a friend does you a favour for no payment ~ often it turns out they might want you to do them a favour further down the line which is fine but it means you didn't get their favour for FREE!
you could use the term "free" as being free as a bird ~ no constraints BUT in society its impossible to be totally FREE because we have law and order etc..
SO VERY GOOD QUESTION WHAT DOES FREE MEAN????????

Well, the word "free" can mean something else for different people. For me it means being happy, not worrying about anything and not being restricted as to what, when and why I do things. . .It can also mean that you should live your life, so you are proud of it and therefore you soul is free of any guilt.

It has several meanings. Not restrained for instance. Or no restrictions. If use with from it can mean without something such as free from sin. Like me. Why?

freedom of choice, is not freedom true freedom is when one has made the correct choice,Many people use their freedom of choice to choos the wrong thing, that may be bad for them if having made the wrong choice e.g. one chooses to be a great drinker or smoker then in later life realises it was a bad choice and overcomes and changes choice, then becomes fitter and stronger, then he has found freedom.in that area. The more correct choices one makes the freedom increases untill one reaches perfection, To be a perfect human being is to experiance
full freedom,Destorting this is to claim freedom to make a bad choice, and enslave ones self to weekness

The easy uncomplicated explanation is that something or someone is unfettered, unchained and without restraint.... any action, speach, thought, feeling ..... is unbound.
