Only when the masses have been educated and become convinced that their beliefs that they must kill anyone who disagrees with their ridiculous philosophy is wrong. This can occur only when the young children are not indoctrinated from birth that Islam is the only religion and all other beliefs are wrong.
This will probably never occur unless the entire world is rid of these fanatics. Certainly, diplomacy and appeasment are not going to solve this problem.
