My boyfriend buys size 7 shoes in malaysia, what is that in UK sizes?

I found, when I was in Kuala Lumpur, that in Malaysia shoes varied a lot within one shoe size - a 10 in one store was too big, a 12 in another too small.
I would just get him to try on shoes and see which ones fit.

subtract 2 sizes and that will be a UK size.
