ok religion says GOD(s) created the universe science says the bigbang but neither can say what created either and in this i give to you a theory
what if god made the big bang and the big bang made god allow me to elaborate
its like this before god or the big bang there was clear just try to imagine nothing i dont mean a giant black void because thats somthing i mean total nothingness but then this happened a rip in the nothing creates god then god creates the bigbang in the nothing then eventually the world ends and the big bang turns out to have made the nothing which in turn makes god all in one big loop and we start over to summarize like this
nothing=rip=god=bigbang=nothing=rip=god etc etc etc do you get what i mean
and please no ans that say im going to hell or answers that say i need to research science and whatnot just answer the ques is this possible and if so when will we start over agin and if its not howcome

I agree that if there was a big bang that something caused it, which would have been God, the first cause. But nothing created God, he always was. It's hard to wrap your brain around but He (more like "it", a being without a gender) is eternal, no beginning or end. He always was. There has to be a first cause. If something created God then what created that something & it keeps going back endlessly. The bottom line is that there has to be a constant. Call it God, beingness, the ultimate good, Nature, whatever, but something without beginning or end brought everything else into being.

Of course you're not going to Hell for having a healthy curiosity about things that are confusing & that we can't really know for certain anyway!

I don't think any amount of research could prove something that is unknowable. The best you can hope to find would be interesting theories, conjecture, guesses. Everyone has a different opinion. I guess you just believe what you believe. Whatever makes sense to you. If your rip theory works for you, go for it! Maybe when God separated light from darkness, there was a bang?

Cheers.

:)

You're going to hell for not properly researching the science behind this question!!

LOL just kidding, but seriously, there ARE scientific explanations of how the big bang came about. Explanations which also explain why our universe has the characteristics it does. That is the essence of a good scientific theory: it must not only explain the world we live in, but do so accurately. To that end, Inflation Theory is easily the best, most accurate theory we have for explaining the origins of our universe. (And just to clear things up, in scientific parlance a theory is NOT just an educated guess!)

If you live near a college or a good library, try to pick up a copy of "The Inflationary Universe" by Alan Guth, one of the theory's main developers. The book does a great job of not just explaining Inflationary Theory, but why IT is such a good theory. And don't worry, the book is written for the layman, it's not a huge list of complicated formulae.

Your getting warmer :)

no need to start again but stuff happens you know you might blink your eyes one day and a billion years go by before it opens again if someone turned out the lights whoever can turn them back on gets to be god, but if you don't know a billion years went by when you blinked how do you figure out how to turn the lights back on when you don't know they are off.

ok thats interesting thought but im sure its not right but i dont think anyone will get that thought right here. God isnt old man with long grey beard and i dont think earth is center of universe here . before there was space time reality or things we can connect with was there God or nothingness lol . i belieave God was always and forever and dosent exist by our rules of theory or sciences. question is dose it realy matter in long run here . no one can prove or disprove any ideas about this because infinity takes forever here and the math involved was created by us and has limits . how can we assume a straight line never ends lol . we dont know because if we measure this then wed never reach end and wed be doing this until we as humans werent around or evovled into line measurers lol. the mystery of life is so complexed that we can only guess as to what factors were present back then but i belieave that in order to get closer to the answer or maybe a better understanding is to exclude our laws of nature here on earth and open our minds to totally impossible ones that certianly must exist in order for these things to have happend here .science is very stubburn and until they open up here we will spin our wheels in doubt . your not damned for thinking this just normal but know this God is real and facts are only his to know and understand . when science embraces God and we search for answers with open minds instead of fairy tail answers and come to know that God is life and to know him is impossible without his permission we might be allowed to figure more of his miracles out but for now confusion of winged angles and pitchforked entitys and denile that God is real will hinder us and confuse the mission here . i belieave theres an answer to all but not in our thinking that we are center of universe and an actident . hint isnt it strange that many things that man imagines labout the unknown later prove to be true even though science says its impossible . we are spiritual entitys and ment to always be and flesh is a temp thing here but soul is eternal and wonders of space and beyond are for our amazement and wonder . God involves faith because science will never reach level where they can exsplain or put forth math to exsplain him . keep looking and wondering because thats why he made those stars and likewise . i dont think we are alone but until we learn to love one another G od wont allow us access to his secrets of life .

God didnt create the big bang simply because in the bible he described how he created everything, you think he would of mentioned big bang if he had made it.

God just exist out of nothingness, and think of making something out of nothing. Although He is powerful and can do magic in an instant, but He still opt for natural law of development of anything to be understood well by the finite brain of human being.
...eg. If He wants to help somebody immediately (at an instant), He will send His angel (you believe in an angel?) right in front of you and disappear after you are helped. But for Jesus Christ to remain in this world for 33 years, "JC" has to undergo a womb growth for 9 months, to have a permanent flesh as human being so He can help The Supreme Creator thru His years of mission
...another eg. Are you familiar with the biblical exodus of the Israelites crossing the sea? The sea divides with the help of a tornado/strong winds for the Israelites to cross because the Egyptians are very close to kill them all.
...how about tall trees or beautiful flowers develop from a mere seed and takes days/months/years to develop needing the right elements for its growth.
These are just few examples to think about...in the midst of millions of wondrous things God do for us.
So, out of nothing, God put energy on cold giant stone, cause to explode & created the big bang to divide it into significant life supporting pieces, and this becomes the beginning of planetary element, cohesively becomes the galaxy, etc.etc.etc.
All these things are prfectly planned by God but takes centuries to develop because God is not thinking of time after all, not in a hurry because He won`t grow old nor die. He`s just there to appreciates His creations (like a human artist).
...But all His creation have beginning and end, like the galaxy & the human being because of the worlds wickedness & evil thoughts. He`s not pleased with everybody except of the few pleasing ones. So, He will try to save the few in heaven, and allow other things to be destroyed in allignment to the dying or exploding galaxy and coupled with the results of evil human intellectual doings, inventions, destructions, wars, hatred, crisis, natures calamities, etc...or on judgement day, He may not destroy everything, but leave beautiful few stars and places for His chosen few people and live happily with them in eternity.
...If without God, would there be:
- law and order in the galaxy? planets rotating in an orderly fashion? A sun in the midst to sustain life, and gives light to the universe? Moon to sustain dim light at night, when everybody are resting from hard work? Enough gravity to put as in place in our planet?
- order in the functions of our body. Bones and muscle to give us structures, mobility, strength & power to stand up, work and live in this world? Our own blood body defenses against disease from foreign bacterial/viral/fungal invaders, and to sustain our heart function and blood circulations for us to be alive. Our brain to function as we have what we perceived the world of today.
- anybody who can make a beautiful world of nature with fragrant flowers, fruits, trees and think of various sizes, shapes, colors and kinds.

of course, you know, nobody can plan, think, nor do all these things except God alone.
Human brain can only observe and discover the wonder of God`s creation or modify things created by God already suited to human needs, but cannot discover God`s secret on how he does things.
Even scientist cannot explain, after discovering the existence of galaxy, they`ll ask?... who makes the gravity so great to hold one galaxy...why planets rotates in an orlderly fashion without bumping each other or go out from its lane...why so many stars floating in the sky, etc.etc.etc.
If I`ll tell you in details of the wonder of God, you won`t have time to read it all. So, let me just ask you................

now, is it still very vague to you... to ask the existence of God the creator?

Let me share with you a blog I wrote several months ago on my myspace profile...I think this will show that you have company in this thought paradigm and hopefully elaborate for you with even more meaning these events:

Response to Big Bang and Explaination Of Dualist God

I have a friend who posted quite an interesting discussion why God cannot be spiritual and he also touched on the big bang theory and the implications of it. Here is a response I wrote. All you have to know for background information is the Big Bang theory was being discussed as the beginning of our material universe and that a spiritual God was not necessary. Enjoy....

Wonderful discussion indeed. I must say that I can agree with you on some level about God. I believe you have an accurate description and evaluation of God's material aspect as we can understand it. Your quote, "The singularity is where the universe began, and it's where every piece of our universe, stars, planets, plant, and human, the history of the universe began. We are connected through that one moment in time. If everything material, we can almost say that we are the universe, and the universe is trying to understand itself. " We can't almost say it, we CAN say it. We are one with the universe that is the bottom line. We originate from that same monumental explosion and are altogether directly connected to everything that was a result of the "Big Bang". Surely this gets quite intricate. As you say, "the universe is trying to understand itself." I think this is another very accurate account of what is truly going on. Follow me now on an excursion into this concept of "the universe trying to understand itself".

The material God you speak of is much like our material bodies. In fact it is our material bodies. We are matter in motion; experiencing within the relative constraints of time and space one rapid succession of impressions after the other, which altogether truly exist as one moment outside of the relative "illusions" of space and time. This is how the universe can know itself, so that God can know itself. For you see, this "spiritual" God could also be considered a "conceptual" God or some sort of all pervading consciousness. Much like us as human beings consist of a physical body and a thinking mind (which is up for debate, but my point is our thoughts are not concrete, you can't see, touch, taste or hear my thoughts). And as humans we think and develope ideas, yet no matter how much we think about something, contemplate it or let it race through our minds, there seems to be an unrelenting desire to see the material manifestation of our thoughts. Hence why we have artists, musicians, writers, engineers, architechts, filmakers, cartoons, etc. These are direct physical manifestations of the concepts human beings form within there mind. An architech begins with the idea for a new innovative construction of a building. He forms the idea in his head, then draws a model on paper, which would be an elementary step to physical manifestation; then he goes on to actually erect the building outside of himself and his mind. Therefore he is responsible for bringing into being his immaterial ideas. This is how we can come to experience our ideas and come to know our selves, through physical manifestation of concepts that originate in the mind.

So you might be asking where this is going? Well, lets apply this same sort of dualist view to God. I'd like to propose that God is also a conceptual God, a consciousness; immaterial like the thoughts in our head and of our own consciousness. Yet God does not have the means to experience or know itself as God because it merely exists as an idea. But for God to be able to manifest itself materially, there must be some material aspect to God, much like human beings. So God ultimately exists as consciousness and matter (that first atom with exponential potentiality that causes the Big Bang in which you spoke of). So God is existing as this pinpoint mass along with consciousness. The cause of our "Big Bang" is then the moment when God decided to experience itself physically manifest as God. Therefore, everything that resulted of the explosion is originally a part of God. Not only that, but the God consciousness remained, conceptually and ideally, pervading outside the physical illusions of space and time while existing materially within those relative qualities of the physical field God was now manifest in. This universe is a great creation and of use to God, much like our ideas made manifest serve us in some way. God now exists conceptually outside the restrictions of space and time, much like when we experience a dream state of omniscence and the ability to "know" and "be" wherever we will without delay. This consciousness aspect of God is then able to observe its physical manifestation in its entirety from an objective view, which allows it to be omniscent since it initiated the explosion it knows the potentiality of all the parts. This is the God consciousness as a whole, the collective, the One moment, One source. Each tiny physical manifestation of God is the source of knowing and also the to be known. God's built in desire to physically manifest itself and know itself as God lies within each material particle within this universe. This is the role of the material world, to know itself as its source, as the One moment. The purpose of physical manifestation is to express and know oneself as the Ultimate Source.
