Most Democrats favor redefining the laws to include gay marriage.
Libertarians believe the government has NO power to limit or regulate marriage in anyway, shape, or form that means no marriage laws.
Greens are on the same stance as Libertarians.

It's actually not a matter of god or religion, although many use it as an excuse for such. You'll find that many religions allow gay marriage so it would be relative to which religion you practice and furthermore this is a secular state, God isn't supposed to have any influence on anything that goes on in the government unless you want to live in a theocracy.

The reason I dislike this question is because it attempts to lump people into various large groups. As a general answer, however, they all tend to be either in favor of same-sex marriage or neutral, though there are members of all three parties that disagree. For more specific information, however, the best way to get an answer is to read each candidate's position or ask each individual Democrat, Green, or Libertarian.

Amazingly enough, some democrats do, some don't. I personally think this is a church matter separate from the government, but a union beteween two consenting adults of the same sex who pledge themselves to one another should be subject to the same guarantees as a heterosexual union.
Why do so many people care who is married and who isn't? The argument that it somehow weakens the institution is rediculous.

nobody favors it but gays. the people you mention just do not care about it since it is none of their business.

democrats tend to be more on the conservative side, republicans or libertarians tend to be more pro gay or pro abortion. undersatn libertarians comes from the term liberal
