Home-made ingredients might not be a good idea to be honest, even though you eat certain things without reaction the skinf on your face might have a differnt one.
Loreal has a men's line of facial products and a daily exfoliant which will make your skin so so soft even after shaving, expecailly if you use it at night you will have smoother clearer skin.
Go to the guys section of shaving prodcuts you'll find something and it's better then something at home that will go bad or do more damage.

Use Clean and Clear or Neutrogena to wash your face if it is oily. If it is dry, you can use Dove. Certain face washes don't suit certain people, and I have recd. letters from some readers who tried Neutrogena and it did not suit them. I presume the same could be the case with Clean and Clear. So, first you could try Clean and Clear if you live in India, since it is locally made and far more economical. Also, remember that due to dust, pollution and oily skin, your face will get oily during the day, no matter what face wash you use. So if you want your face to stay oil-free during the day, you can:
Carry compact powder. You can dab it on your face when it starts looking oily,
Wash your face again during the day, or
Dab your face with tissue to absorb the oil - yes, it works!
Apply a light oil-free, matte foundation to your skin during the day, and when it gets oily, wipe your skin with tissue and reapply the foundation. Remember that certain compact powders may not suit you, so if you start getting a few pimples after using compact, try another brand. Also, remove the compact powder as soon as you reach home, and leave it on for as less time as possible. This will help reduce the chances of it irritating the skin. Applying compact powder is perhaps the best way of ensuring that your face looks oil free.
Drink a lot of water, at least 8-10 glasses a day. Avoid soft drinks and fried foods.
If you have oily skin you don't need to apply honey, just apply cucumber and lemon. Yes, it is watery, so you don't need to remove a whole lot of juice - just very little, and spread it on your face. Wash off when it dries.
If your skin is excessively oily, you could apply cucumber with honey. It is acidic, but it is a completely natural bleach and applying it does not have any side effects to my knowledge. I myself have been applying lemon juice to my face on and off for more than 10 years, and my complexion has only improved. Yes, it can definitely be used by males as well. Wash off after ten to fifteen minutes. Cucumber juice is gentler and you can leave it on even overnight if you desire.
Yes, you can use face scrub. Although instructions often say that you can use it 2-3 times a week, I suggest you use it just once a week, just after showering so your pores are open. This is becuase certain scrubs may aggravate pimples and you may need to experiment with scrubs to find one suitable for you. Once you have found the right scrub, you can use it more often. I find just washing the face with face wash regularly helps just as well.
