One of the best things about being human is that we all have the ability to learn new things - even about our own selves. I have, from time to time, realized that something I've supported or believed is wrong, dead wrong, and have done a complete turn-around on it. Life is fluid, and we all go through such dramatic changes that it is normal to have these reversals of thought.

Been there, dont that. I was a Christian for 20 years and became an atheist, now l argue the faults of religion on a daily basis. So it is quite possible if you are strong enough to admit you are wrong. Most people cant imagine changing their minds about an internalized value, even if they find overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Such a weak attitude causes much strife in this life and must be overcome.

Yes, it's called using windows of opportunity. I think it's fine to do something out of the ordinary, because if somebody had any reason to watch you, they would be thrown off course. Plus, it's nice to see peoples' reactions when you do something that is totally unlike what you are inclined to do. Life is one big journey and there is no use to restrict yourself when it comes to curiousity or fear. People change their views all the time and it's okay to broadcast that to the world.

Living is learning & learning is growth. Admitting you were wrong lets you grow. Changed my ideas many times over the years because I learned new things & my thoughts were dead wrong. Education is far bigger then going to school. You can educate yourself as long as you live & that keeps life interesting & fun. Not to mention your brain health & working well for a life time. Good for you.

No. Most people have principles and to go against what you feel your principles are will just leave you feeling like you have betrayed yourself.
