Any values of x that cause the denominator to be zero.

The denominator is zero if 4x-5 = 0, or if x+1 = 0, because the denominator is the product of these two factors.

Therefore, the excluded values are x=5/4 and x=-1.

the denominator contains (4x+5)(x+1)

any value of x making it equal to zero will cause the entire
fraction to become undefined ( divided by 0 )

so if x+1=0,
x=1

or if 4x+-5=0
x=5/4

the fraction will undefined

Dividing by technique of 0 is undefined. So if the denominator is 0, you've were given issues. The question, then, is 'at the same time as is x + 6 = 0?" the answer is, "at the same time as x = -6." -6 might want to be excluded from conceivable values of x.
