Don't you want to be protected from others? This day and age, we all need to be protected. Times change and we need to do what ever is necessary to protect America and it's people. If people don't have anything to hide then they shouldn't have to worry about the Patriot Act. Sam

NO!!!

It is absolutely, positively, undeniably UNCONSTITUTIONAL! Do you know how governments become dictatorships? By slowly taking away your rights, which is exactly what the Patriot Act is for! Are you people blind? It should always be illegal, authorities should not be above the law!

Those who might be a threat to America? A new bill says the President gets to decide what defines a terrorist. We could all be sent to Gitmo today and I only see myself concerned! Bush isn't hunting down terrorists, he's helping himself!

Sorry sweetie, but the Patriot Act *was* legalized several years ago. It has been the law for a long, long, long time now.

Recently, it was set to expire, and Congress voted to renew it. Nobody in the general public, like you and me, were given any kind of a say in the matter.

And that's what upsets most people.

The Patriot act has been passed into law by congress and renewed at least once. It IS legalized, i.e. it IS the law.

No. The secret plans are to use the Patriot Act against ordinary U.S. citizens after rioting and martial law is instituted by foreign troops already on U.S. soil. Then, THESE secret and evil plans will be implemented along with Bush's new torture laws!...
