Jesus said that we only needed to be concerned with 2 basic commandments: love God and love each other. Simple as that.

Jesus' first COMMAND was "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." Now if you're talking about commandments, then He says:
"The first of all the commandments is: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."

Hi my name is Eunice Saunders. Jesus is the Word of God made flesh.......therefore he gave ALL of the ten commandments..in a nut shell..."love thy neighbor as thy self and love God with ALL your heart." The first 4 commandments speak to your obligations to God, the last 6 speak to your obligations to your fellow man. God bless! Eunice

For John it's "my command is this:love one another, as I have loved you."
for the synoptics it's (paraphrase) "love god and your neighbor " (in Matthew neighbor is 2nd, but in Luke it's not)
Jesus also says the whole bible (law and prophets) is summed up in the maxim "treat others as you would like to be treated."
One could argue that it's love your enemies (en-amicas, not friend), for everyone already loves their friends, so love your enemies and you love everyone then!

Here's a guess: “I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” (John 13:34)
Do I get a smiley face?
