I wasn't that keen on Goodnight Sweetheart..........but I definitely think a good comedy sit com is way over due. The trouble is Fools and Horses is a hard act to follow. If there are any budding writers out there PLEASE write a good sitcom so we can have some entertaining T.V

I enjoyed the programme, but I was much more a fan of "You Rang M'Lord", "Oh! Doctor Beeching" and "Please, Sir!".

The quality of English "comedy" shows have dramatically declined in recent years.

Part of the problem is the vast quantity of American sit coms being shown (I have nothing against them and enjoy most of them myself). With the US being able to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on one episode (or in the case of Friends $6,000,000+ per episode), the UK companies can't possibly compete.

We have even lost Hugh Laurie to the American market. He was brilliant in Jeeves and Wooster.

Until we stop saturating our market with US shows, I don't think we will ever see a truly great English sit com again.

Are you kidding? I thought it was truly awful.
Have you never seen The Office, or The IT Crowd, or The Mighty Boosh.

It was good, but I didn't like it when they changed his "wife". I do like the Vicar of Dibley and think that they should make some more.

It really isn't my kind of show but......the idea and the way the story unfolds is totally brilliant. Clever script.
