I definitely do NOT love the Pistons, but even if I did, I would be skeptical of the Pistons' ability to make it to the Finals. When almost every other team in the East gets considerably better and your team loses it's heart and soul, it is hard to imagine them finishing the season any higher than a fourth seed, although I would bet they are even lower than that (5th or 6th), which will make it a very difficult path to even the Conference Finals. I'm sorry, but Nazr Mohammed is in NO way an adequate replacement for Big Ben, and there is no way he will be enough to help the Pistons contend against teams that have players in the middle like Shaq, Zo, Dwight Howard, Big Ben, hell even Samuel Dalembert, Sean May, and Washington's bigs will eat up Nazr in the middle, and the rest of the team did nothing but get a little bit older. The only improvement you could expect over last year would be Tayshawn Prince, who's star will continue to rise, but Billups, Hamilton, and Wallace are all another year older, slower and another year more abused and injury prone. Throw in a coach who clearly doesn't know what he's doing (letting a feud develop with Big Ben was a huge no-no) and you've got all the makings of the Pistons turning into Flip's old team, the perennially underachieving Timberwolves.

I love their team play. Very unselfish play. I don't see them making it to the Finals. It is possible though. Big Ben is a huge loss. People don't realize how much he did for the team by being on the floor. Alot of the things never show up on the stat sheet. They can make it, but the team has to be playing at their top level to beat the favorites.

the pistons are the best team in the NBA, or at least they were when they had big ben... they were stupid to let him go and even thought they still have a sick team i dont think theyll get to the finals without the intensity the ben wallace brought to the court
