Yes what child has not told there mother a lie at one time or another, to keep out of trouble.now my mother is gone from me and I wished I had never told her a lie, if only we could go back in time, we could fix things that we have done wrong.

Yep. I planned my first child with my wife (then my girlfriend).
We were really young, and I thought it was better to say the pregnancy was an accident to my mother than to tell the truth and say we had planned a family after knowing each other for only a couple of months and at the age of 17 and 19.
That was 11 years ago and we are the happiest couple we know and have two wonderful sons.
I have told her the truth since. She still bloody lectured me.

Yes. My mother is the only one in the world that I placate. Placating usually amounts to lies. It's the lesser of two evils. She wants to know how everything is going, it's better for her when I say, "It's going great, Mom."

I think everyone does. I do, not major things just little lies and I feel guilty afterwards. And I think she knows most of the time
