Every new baby!

Racism is taught (unfortunately), so until a certain age, every child is NON-racist.

Something to think about too...

Sure there are. I think if you define racism so broadly as to include everyone, then you've diluted its definition to the point of being meaningless.

Where are you from that you would even think that everyone's a racist? If you live in the deep South I guess I could understand how someone might get this idea. But there are plenty of places where the different races get along just fine. I live in a college town in central IL which I'll admit is probably more cosmopolitan than most other places, but I see plenty of interracial relationships around here, both romantic and just friends. Ironically enough, the biggest emphasis on race around here comes from the politically-correct left, who are still stuck in the whites-are-responsible-for-all -society's-evils thinking of the past. Aside from that though, a good majority of us are pretty indifferent to race around here.

Yes. I'm not a racist. I hate all people equally! Ok, but seriously... Of course there are many people who are not racists, myself included. Only ignorant small-minded people are racist. We are all part of the human race. What we look like on the outside is irrelevant. Anyone who thinks differently is ridiculous! People are people!

sorry you think that everyone is racist to some point, I am not racist and I have no reason to be, actually I don't think anybody has a reason to be racist I think it is just ignorance and I think that there are probably a lot of people out there that are not racist

I don't think it is so much a question about race, but a question about humanity . All humans have preconcieved notions about other people. a.k.a--discriminations, stereotypes (It may be about neighbors, or co-workers, policeman) It doesn't have to be only about race.

I'm sure most Americans have thoughts about people from the middle-east. I do. That doesn't mean I hate them. I have notions about them because of the media, history, etc

I think you should look up the definition of racism and prejudice.

Prejudism is having feelings. Racism is acting out on those feelings. Example--lynching, spitting on someone, physical harm, etc.

Many people can be prejudice and you would never know.

Well, I think the problem is that the word is used too much these days. Anyone asking a perfectly reasonable question about another race is branded a racist.

Everyone is a racist to some degree because we all have our own race which shapes our development. We can never fully see another race's point-of-view.

The real problem is, and the phrase that should be used, is racial discrimination, which is when racism causes harm.

yes. to me a racist is someone who judges a person based on their physical appearance, maybe handicapped, a person of color, or an old person. some people hate children. i have never been a racist, and i will never be one. i don't see the exterior,
i see the interior, because that's who the person is, no matter what physical form they have.
