Not all archaeological materials are buried. Its just those that get buried are the ones that survive the best. Various weather processes cause places to get buried and sometimes like at scara brae they unearth them

I think most of the processes could be called weather. ie lots of rain washes soil over stuff and makes cliffs crumble over other stuff. The rest of them can probable be called natural disasters.
