Actually, I think Lexapro has increased my tolerance and especially craving for alcohol. My husband has commented on how fast the beer has been disappearing in our house, and I find myself opening a beer earlier and earlier in the day. I just started doing some research. I don't think it will hurt you physically (which was my initial concern) unless the one poster is correct about liver damage. But I have seen no mention of liver damage from the combination of Lexapro and alcohol anywhere else on the web. However, alcohol is a depressant and may make the Lexapro not work as well or not at all.
Right now, I am trying to avoid opening a beer. I haven't felt like the Lexapro is helping me much, and I want to see if not drinking helps. I started craving the alcohol almost immediately, so I think its depressant effects have kept the Lexapro from working for me.
Have you been craving alcohol more than usual too?
Good luck to you!

Lexapro/cipralex is dangerous sufficient withought including alcohol to the combo. I don't have any private enjoy however even though the tablet has been proven to not engage with alchohol medical professionals nonetheless advise you dont drink excessively.I wouldnt drink multiple glass of beer myself.

DO NOT drink alcohol and take Lexapro. That's all you need to know except this, DO NOT attempt to stop Lexapro cold turkey.
