It depends on what you mean by "feminist." If by feminist you mean that radical breed of angry, male-hating, pseudo-intellectuals in great need of therapy, who in their decades-long quest for "equality" for the sexes succeeded only in creating a confusing and divisive culture, and poisoning an entire generation of women, then yes, there are quite a few of those who have been published.

Then there are the other type of feminists...those who recognize that men and women are, well, inherently different and not intended to be exactly the same. True feminists recognize that men and women are equally deserving of respect, esteem, freedom, and individuality -- but do not seek to alter the sexes, or completely denigrate men as a whole in order to attain that equality.

One post here recommended Danielle Steele -- I respect your right to an opinion, but I have to disagree -- wholeheartedly. Danielle Steele, while a talented writer, cannot be considered a "feminist" by any definition of the term. You suggest that she makes men the "bad guys" when they commit rape (or otherwise forcible seduction) but inevitably, the heroines of these novels fall in love with the men who have treated them poorly. This is not feminism; it's anti-feminism.

One writer to comes to mind is Emily Dickenson. She lived and wrote long before the age of feminism, but she is the closest thing to a true feminist writer that my mind can conjure at the moment.
