French has given English a very good term for this: "Bon vivant." A bon vivant is a person who knows how to enjoy life, especially good food and drink.

Yeah, strangely, all the words for loving life seem to be French! Joie de vivre, e'lan, bon vivant . . . they must REALLY know how to live.
