I have to say what I would do and how I would punish and rules taht I would make! I need help with the disiplinary system! I thought that I could give each student 10 tickets, and after losing so many tickets, they get punished in some way! Please if you can help with my system, or think of a different system. when you give them an assignment or expect them to obey you, you motivate them by saying that the best ones would be rewarded suitably or else they will be asked to redo the work again. No carrot and stick policy will work out in this generation. So please convince them why they should do and how it is going to benefit them rather than using coersion.
TAKE THEM ALONG WITH YOU. APPRECIATE FOR THEIR GOOD WORK

One comment is that this idea of 10 tickets will likely not work well. If the student knows that they will not be punished until they lose a certain number of tickets, then a number of them will use up as many tickets as possible, to get away with as much as possible.

If the student knows that they run the *risk* of being punished for even a single infraction (with the punishment of course being appropriate for whatever they did), then that would be more likely to reduce inappropriate behavior. You may decide that only a warning is appropriate, but if they KNOW that the first time only merits a warning, then they're bound to take advantage.

i do not comprehend of any firsthand as I continually paid interest & seldom misbehaved!!! (winks) i comprehend the coaches in the boys gem type had a paddle that replaced into approx an inch thick with 5-10 holes bored in it. If any particular boy misbehaved throughout type, on the instantaneous following their bathe, they had to snatch their ankles & the instructor were given to envision what number swats the coed deserved. I heard the boys commenting how demanding it replaced into to sit down down later on because the holes in the paddle led to the exterior to welt up which replaced into apparently painful. I continually wondered why there have been repeat offenders if it somewhat damage that undesirable??? One very affected man or woman instructor sat a chair in basic terms outdoors the door & made unruly scholars sit down outdoors the lecture room...yet nevertheless in earshot so that they could listen the lesson even if or not they chosen to pay interest or no longer. truly some the instructors despatched the worst of the misbehavers to the precious's workplace the position he metted out however punishment he felt the coed deserved. some were punished & some were despatched residing house for something of the day. for sure, some time previous then, moms and dads supported the colleges & the punishments given. And, in case you've been punished in college, to procure it back at the same time as to procure residing house. And in case you've been despatched residing house from college, you wanted you would possibly want to flow decrease back. some time previous then, moms and dads were a baby's worst nightmare!!! some homes had an out of doors shed pretty for punishing an unruly baby!!!

Consider rewarding good behavior instead of punishing bad behavior.

If you took your system over to the positive side, it would be called a "token economy" and is often used when dealing with learning disabled students. It isn't that effective day-to-day, but might be worth a try. Below are two links, One for operant conditioning (Rewards) for behavior. And the other describes the Token Economy concept. Both are pretty advanced, so take them as you will. Good luck and congrats.

Here's a punishment for you...
After the 10 tickets are gone & it is punishment time, have the offending students line up in the end zone of the football field. Hand each one a tiny pair of manicure scissors & tell them that they are to get down on the ground & use the manicure scissors to cut the grass on the football field. Telling them that it must be neat & that each student will do 1 yard of grass. If they do not finish the first day, they will be back until it is done...... LOL

Well, it's football season!!!! You could also use the school lawn or ????

like someone said....they can get away with 10 things until they are punished...that's a lot! and what grade will you be teaching will make a big difference. if it is smaller kids.....at the first behavior they will get a warning, the 2nd they miss recess (if you are willing to stay in with them), the 3rd they get a note sent home
for high school or maybe middle school...the first time is a warning, the 2nd time they lose their participation point for the day, a 3rd time is principal

If you are writing a school essay , please note that have a writer's block ( with an apostrophe).Prize and discipline are the correct spellings..
Punish them in a constructive way. They have to come on the stage and recite/or write.
