I like that it has sooo many memories, that I can see at each and every turn. I dislike that it is no longer as quaint as it once was, and is becoming less with each passing day.

What I don't like?
In the first town, which was a city, I hated the ghetto areas where there were so many kidnappings, rape and murder, and such. The schools were horrible, the systems were poor and things we learned were much lower on the education level [but the information about sex and drugs were taught at a very early age].
I had lived in a tiny house that never gets cleaned. And the neighborhood around me was so unfriendly and nobody knew each other that well so we were all strangers [even once I had my leg bitten by a guy's dog and he didn't do anything except stood where he was standing and stared. I was in pain the rest of the day].
And the malls are all run-down.
Well then, the next area is a countryside town. This is significantly better except that there are no good places to shop or do anything. It's a growing town so there are so many construction going on that it's hard to get around anywhere, which sucks.
Anyway, the people are really snotty and high class around here though [houses ranging from 100,000 to 1 million]. I hate all those types [they're very contrasted from the poor class of the city before]. It just seems that I can't get along with anyone.
And the crimes are still here, following me, not as frequent but just as severe.
But the neighborhood is great and everyone seems to know each other and say hi to everyone for no good reason [it's such a sunny stereotypical neighborhood].
All in all, I hate the crimes and people that don't have souls [also the weakness of no good shopping areas].

I live in Louisville, KY
GOOD: SIze, big enough that there's lots to do, but the rent is reasonable and traffic isn't bad. Personally, I'm kind of socially anxious so I love the fact that people don't make eye contact or say hi when they walk by, but everyone else in the state thinks that's rude
BAD: Extremely culturally and economically segregated. There are three very different sides of town West (the black side), South (low income whites) and East (rich whites). The East Side has 5 towns that rank in the Top 100 richest in the US, the West Side is one of the 20 poorest areas in the US. The South End is nasty, w/ bars & strip clubs everywhere

There are not a lot of good places to shop, we have an outlet mall that is hella lame, and thats about it. The nearest place there is a real mall is 30 miles away.
Also there is not a lot of good jobs to be had around here, you can either work for the railroad, the military (if you're lucky), or you're stuck with foodservice work. Housing here is hard to come by and waaaay too expensive.
The one thing I do like: People here are nice, there is a good sense of community. Also, there is not the traffic problems that you'd find in larger cities.

I dislike all the Yankees that have moved into my hometown and taken over. I moved away about 20 miles to be away from the traffic and urban sprawl they created.

I don't live in a town.
I live in a house which is literally in the middle of nowhere.
Of the town closest to me I like absolutely nothing.
Of the town closest to me I most dislike the mentality of the people who live there.
I do best in separation from the mainstream of society :o)
