I just started training at a fred estaire studio and the training is about 8 weeks. Now I dont get paid for that training period. Is that something that is normal. Because my boyfriend doesnt like the idea that I dont get paid for the training. However I have not officially been hired or filled out any paperwork such as W-2. I figure if I need to get training in ballroom its like a school or a tryout period. Maybe I could even utilize that to go to another studio. But I wondered if anyone knows about this and could give me some insight. I really want to do this and understand that starting off its not a very lucrative career. I really enjoy the training and have gotten really fit. But I dont want to be scammed either. HELP!!

You should be getting paid for training, officially you are on their clock, you can't use the time to do something else. I would call the local labor department in your area to see what they say, but you should be getting paid.,
good luck

no matter if that's in actuality referred to as "Fred Estaire" and by no skill "Fred Astaire", that's the authentic call of the favourite dancer contained in the Hollywood videos, it may properly be a scam of a few form or yet another. We had an section right here named "Endy's" rather of "Wendy's" and they extremely had a shop on the interior of reach Tesco center till now people wakened that they weren't the authentic aspect and nowhere close to as strong -- and they were given close down... i'm no longer kidding, both! after all, any legitimate corporation would guarantee that all the place of work artwork is so as. they don't elect to get slammed through the IRS and each and every of the others. Do slightly bit digging and word if some thing stinks... Lenky
