There are many websites on the non-use of ashes from charcoal grills. I was really amazed at the amount of ppl that agreed to send this waste to the garden.

Yes, the ash will add carbon to the soil and also make the soil more acidic. Tomatoes and other plants require acidic soil. Make sure you till or spade it into the garden, spread out the ash.

Yes, but only if they are acid loving plants like blueberry's, or azaleas ect. it's also good to add to the garden soil, vegies, but make sure it's added in fall, and has the winter to break down. be sure to dig it in, and not just leave it on top.

YES.. I know a number of people will say YES YES.. but I could never agree to that.. it would put too much potassium, etc and would not be conducive to good plant growth.

actually I don't know but thats what my parents do with it and also the ash from our woodburner goes in our garden too. It doesn't seem to hurt it though.

in old good days, old forks used to take used charcoal and use them as a toothpaste
it can whiten u teeths
try it if u dont believe it!
