It's clearly wrong that "every man on-line is a pervert" since there are a lot of men on-line who are not.

What is true is, you don't know anything about anyone on-line. This applies to anyone on-line.

You don't know that someone who claims to be a girl is in fact a girl. That person might be a man, and could be a pervert. (If it's a man pretending to be a girl, he probably is a criminal of some sort -- pervert or thief.)

Although the statement goes too far in once sense (not every man on-line is a pervert), it doesn't go far enough. Just because someone tells you they are a 13 year old girl, doesn't mean that's what they are.

So, don't ever give information such as your phone number, address, where you go to school, or credit card information to someone on-line, whether they claim to be a man or girl or anyone else.

In fact, anyone who wants to know specific identifying information about you is suspect, because all the non-perv men, women, boys, and girls on-line would never do that.

Is there any harm in conversing with anyone on-line? No. Should you invite anyone on-line to your house? No.

LOL! No every man online is not a pervert it is just the perverts that are coming forward to communicate most often. So you don't hear from the non pervs. Someone's Mom is being cautious and that is good. If you meet someone online then be careful because they could be a perv.

If you're under 30 and a female, every boy is EVIL, well, that what I'm going to tell my daughter.

No not every man is a pervert. But don't give your personal info to ANYBODY on-line EVER. Yes some people on-line, men and women, are perverts and will try to take advantage of you somehow. If anyone started make conversation or asking question that make you uncomfortable, DON'T answer and leave the conversation. If it's bad enough report them to the police.

Good luck.

No! I am a guy, but not a pervert! You just have to be careful of what you say, post, etc., on the internet. Because some guys are, and some guys aren't, but not all of them.

For the most part, yes. Just like "every woman online is a porn star".
